Confirm cash-on-delivery orders on WhatsApp before you ship them.
Pakka COD is a Shopify app for D2C stores in India and other markets where many buyers pay cash on delivery. It asks each COD buyer to confirm their order on WhatsApp, checks the shipping address, and gives every order a risk score you can understand. You catch fake, mistaken and doubtful orders before they turn into RTO (return to origin).

What it does
WhatsApp order confirmation
When a COD order comes in, the buyer gets a WhatsApp message with Confirm and Cancel buttons, and reminders if they don't reply. The order is tagged in Shopify with the result, for example cod-confirmed or cod-cancel-requested.
Messages go from your own WhatsApp Business number, using a template you get approved by Meta. Pakka COD does not send SMS.
Address checks
Every shipping address is checked for a missing house number or landmark, a missing city, dummy text such as “test” or “asdf”, and a missing or wrong PIN code (India). Other countries get general checks.
Optional AI address check, off by default. If you turn it on, only the address lines, city, state, postcode and country go to Google's Gemini API. Never the buyer's name, phone number or email.
Risk score with reasons
Each COD order gets a score from 0 to 100 with plain reasons: invalid phone number, incomplete address, high value, bulk quantity, a duplicate order within 24 hours, and the buyer's past RTOs and deliveries in your own store.
The app never cancels an order by itself. You decide.
Opt-outs handled for you
If a buyer replies STOP or “band karo”, Pakka COD stops messaging them for your store and confirms it to them. You can also opt buyers out yourself from any order.
The buyer can reply START to get messages again.
How it works
- Install the app in Shopify and pick a plan. Shopify handles billing.
- Connect your WhatsApp Business account and an approved message template with Confirm and Cancel buttons. Our step-by-step WhatsApp guide shows you how.
- Every new COD order is scored and tagged. Orders at or above the risk level you choose get a WhatsApp confirmation.
- Buyer replies update the order's tags and notes in Shopify. You review cancellations and mark orders Delivered or RTO. That makes future scores for the same buyer more accurate.
Pricing
Prices are in US dollars, billed every 30 days on your Shopify invoice. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. You can change or cancel your plan inside the app.
| Plan | Price per month | WhatsApp-confirmed COD orders per month | Free trial |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 50 | – |
| Lite | $2.99 | 250 | 7 days |
| Growth | $5.99 | 1,000 | 7 days |
| Scale | $11.99 | Unlimited | 7 days |
Every plan includes WhatsApp order confirmation, address checks (including the optional AI check), the risk score, order tagging and opt-out handling.
Meta or your WhatsApp provider bills you separately for WhatsApp messages. That cost is not part of the plan price. Shopify may add taxes to your invoice.
Privacy in short
- We only ask Shopify for permission to read and edit orders. We don't read customer accounts or email addresses.
- The buyer's phone number and first name are erased 30 days after the confirmation finishes. We keep only a one-way code (a keyed hash, different for each store) so your repeat-buyer RTO history keeps working.
- Address text is never saved. Only a keyed hash is kept, to spot duplicate orders.
- WhatsApp message text is never stored. Message records are deleted after 90 days and order records after 13 months.
- Buyers can reply STOP (or “band karo”) to stop messages, and you can opt buyers out yourself.
- When you uninstall, your WhatsApp details are deleted at once. All your store's data is deleted 48 hours later, when Shopify asks us to erase it.
